Chickens who live 18 months without a head

On Monday 10 September 1945, Lloyd Olsen's farmer from Fruita, Colorado, was preparing for dinner and was ordered by his wife to look for a chicken. That's when Olsen cut off the neck of a five and a half month old chicken named Mike. The ax used Olsen escapes the neck blood vessels, so most of the brain vessels remain intact. Mike had entered in dozens of newspapers and magazines, including Time and Life Magazines. Olsen received criticism from some parties for keeping a headless chicken alive. After about 6 months, the staff began to realize there was an oscar clumsiness. Oscar went into the room he wanted and started sniffing and watching the patient and then sleeping next to the patient. To the surprise of the nurses there is the patient who in Oscar would surely die within 2-4 hours later after his arrival.

One of the first incidents involved a patient who had a blood clot in his leg. Oscar came and wrapped himself on the patient's leg and stayed there until the patient died several hours later. There is another incident in which the doctor has established a patient's death time based on the patient's condition.

Oscar proves that the doctor's prediction is 10 hours too early. Because once Oscar visited her the patient died 2 hours later and the doctor was cm can be stunned.

Oscar's proven accuracy in his final 25 events is believed by the chief of staff to create an unusual and possibly unbelievable protocol. Each Oscar is found to be sleeping with a patient, the staff will contact the patient's family member to inform him of an imminent death.

Oscar's ability to predict the last hours of human life is confusing to many people and described by Dr.David Doza that Oscar is a cat who does not want to befriend a living person. 5. Oliver, the "Humanzee"

A human-chimp hybrid (a combination of humans and apes)
Oliver was discovered by Frank and Janet Berger in the early 1970s at about 2 years of age. Some animal behavior and behavioral observers then assured Berger that Oliver was another chimp animal, probably a human-chimp hybrid (a combination of humans and apes) Oliver had a flatter face than his other chimps. Her front teeth were pulled off when she was young and never grew her fangs on her teeth.

Oliver never walked with his fist but instead stood up and walked his worthy human. The most surprising thing after her is that Oliver prefers female humans to female chimps. During a special coverage by Discovery Chanel, Janet Berger stated that Oliver had fallen in love with him when he entered the age of 16. Oliver climbs Berger and tries to have sex with the janet.

Because of his behavior that Oliver considered a threat to Janet, so it was decided to move Oliver. Some people admit he does not have a typical common smell like chimpanzees and that's what keeps other chimps away from him.

6. Owen & Mzee

The Uniqueness of the Friendship Ties Two Species of turtles and hippos
The day after the devastating tsunami tragedy of the Indian Ocean that hit Asia and Africa, dozens of villagers at Malindi Beach in Kenya carried out rescue work with local authorities. That's when Owen Saubion saw the odd scenery in the coastal area. He saw the baby hippo (still 1 year old) was curled limp on the rock. His condition is very apprehensive. He was caught between the waves of the sea and the swift waters of the Sabaki River estuary.

After being treated, the hippo was eventually taken to Haller Park near Mombasa, a wildlife park owned by Lafarge Eco Systems' East African firm, on December 27, 2006. In this Haller Park wildlife sanctuary this unique friendship story begins. The baby hippo then named Owen, in the name of his savior.

The asylum officer places her in an area for small animals. This step is done because Owen is still a baby. Meanwhile, if placed in the location for a herd of hippos, veterinary officers worried he will be attacked herd of other hippos who do not know him. Because hippos are very aggressive and "fanatical" to the herd, if there is a foreign hippo they could have killed him.

When Owen was released, he was still confused. Perhaps because it must occupy a new environment. But after he felt a little comfortable, Owen immediately stared and interested in a turtle named Mzee.

Mzee, is a 130-year-old Aldabran turtle species weighing 700 pounds (320 kg). Mzee which in Swahili (Africa) means "wise old man", is the old inhabitant of an area equipped with beautiful ponds and artificial forest.

Initially, Owen went straight to Mzee. But Mzee did not care about her at all. Day after day Owen always follows Mzee wherever he goes. Apparently Owen tried to take Mzee's heart. Owen time and persistence Owen approached him, Mzee finally accepted the presence of the young hippopotamus.

In a few weeks they both looked so familiar. Mzee is considered a parent by Owen, while Mzee feels as a foster parent for Owen. Not just in a metaphor, in fact Mzee always keep Owen with tenderness. Owen also always adhere to and love to play with Mzee.

Their friendship association thickens like a family. The animal nurses at Haller Park are confused by the behavior of two different animals of this species. They are like parents and children of the same species.

What Mzee eats is also eaten by Owen, where Owen sleeps there must be Mazee. They always play water in the pool together, eat together, sleep together and walk around the park area together.

A year went by, but the two different animal species became more sticky. Both are inseparable. This phenomenon is surprising to a large number of scientists. Not just because events like this have never happened, but among them also have developed their own "language" as a communication system between the two. The language of voice communication is completely unheard of in the hippopotamus or the Adabran turtle.

The sound in a certain tone from Mzee will be responded to by Owen appropriately. Similarly, the sound in a certain tone from Owen responded to Mzee also precisely. In addition, they also develop body language that they both understand, such as soft bites, touches, nudges and caresses each responded as a code to do something or an affectionate expression between the two.

The uniqueness of friendship Owen and Mzee became a global phenomenon. The unique behavior and unique communication in the world of zoology makes them a world celebrity. A large number of photographs, films, documentation, even books and articles addressing the great puzzle of their friendship.

Owen and Mzee became symbols of love and friendship that knew no physical boundaries, races, species and territories.
